Sunday being the first day wherein I must write something for the challenge other than an introduction is rather odd. It means I have less time (I'm writing on Saturday, while I still have two posts uncompleted). I think I'll share some photos from ArtPrize where I spent my birthday. I had this great idea of doing a photo essay, and when I got home, I realized that I only had pictures of art. So much for the essay!
Every year, one guy creates an animal scene using odds and ends.

I love this one!

One exhibit was a schoolroom where visitors could write down and tack up their dreams. Mine? To use words and music to heal the brokenness in our world.

Every rock had a partner hidden around town! Each one is hand painted.

A skyscape created out of old motherboards and other electronic parts. Pretty cool!

A couple cool mirror balls.

This piece is about being different. If you notice, five of the stones are pretty much the same, while two are distinctly different. It's hard to be different; I like to fit-in and belong. But in a lot of ways, I will never be able to do that, so I might as well embrace it!

Look closely: what do you see? This is a close-up.

Now what do you see? Pretty cool isn't it!!

And this was probably my personal favorite. Guitars!

There were many artists performing as well, and they were fabulous!
And that's what I did to celebrate my eighteenth birthday.
